Job summary

Fichtner in Manila seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer as Consultant for HVDC power transmission. You will lead planning and implementation of HVDC projects, coordinate with international teams, and manage technical and contractual aspects on a global scale.

The role requires a Master or Bachelor in energy/electrical engineering with 5+ years of relevant HVDC experience, strong English skills and willingness to travel up to 25% for regional and international projects.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor in energy/electrical engineering required.
• At least five years of experience in a similar context, especially HVDC.
• Experience managing power transmission projects and coordinating teams.
• Business fluent in English and able to work internationally.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and manage power transmission projects, especially HVDC.
• Upgrade or construct medium/high-voltage switchgear.
• Lead technical, contractual and commercial project management.
• Provide input for proposals and prepare planning/tender documents and feasibility studies.
• Evaluate bids and support project coordination and delivery.

Your Tasks

• Planning, designing and managing the implementation of power transmission projects, especially in the field of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission
• Upgrade, modification or construction of medium/high-voltage switchgear
• Being responsible for technical, contractual and commercial project management and project coordination
• Providing technical input for proposals
• Preparing planning documents and tender documents as well as feasibility studies
• Comparison and evaluation of bids

Your Profile

• Master, Bachelor or equivalent in energy/electrical engineering
• At least five years of experience working in a similar context Experience in the field of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission
• Experience in implementing and managing power transmission projects
• Business fluent in English and confident working in an international environment
• Willingness to travel (approx. 20-25%) in order to attend to regional and international projects focused on ASEAN countries
• Philippine national or work permit for the Philippines must be available
