Job summary

Fichtner Manila seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer as Consultant/Expert in Substations to lead design and supervision of substation projects across ASEAN. You will coordinate primary/secondary systems, protection schemes, and ensure quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

We value a Master’s in electrical engineering and at least 5 years in power transmission with substations and switchgear, plus fluent English and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in power transmission, especially substations and switchgear.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel (20-25%) to regional/international ASEAN projects.
• Philippine national or work permit for the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual design planning substations, including primary/secondary components and protection.
• Supervising project participants to keep progress on schedule.
• Ensuring client requirements are met and quality/safety standards are followed.
• Prepare requirements specifications, invitations-to-tender, drawings and layouts.
• Review design documentation, supervise construction, witness acceptance tests.
