Job summary

Capacita Consultants is seeking a senior engineering leader for an onsite role in Toledo City, Cebu, Philippines. The position oversees mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, and civil/structural work across major power or industrial projects.

You will review designs, coordinate interfaces among EPC contractors and suppliers, manage deliverables and risks, and lead the engineering team to document decisions for procurement, construction, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated design engineering and multidisciplinary engineering management experience on major power or industrial projects.
• Experience reviewing contractor designs, specifications, equipment selections, and technical submissions.
• Working knowledge of EPC delivery, engineering change control, and construction–commissioning interfaces.
• Strong technical judgment, leadership, coordination, and written communication skills.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and accepted engineering documentation for commissioning and handover.

Candidate Requirements

Must-have qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or another relevant engineering discipline.

• Demonstrated design engineering and multidisciplinary engineering management experience on major power or industrial projects.

• Experience reviewing contractor designs, specifications, equipment selections, and technical submissions.

• Working knowledge of EPC delivery, engineering change control, and construction–commissioning interfaces.

• Strong technical judgment, leadership, coordination, and written communication skills.

Nice-to-have

• Direct coal-fired thermal power plant experience, particularly circulating fluidized bed (CFB) technology.

• Owner’s engineering or owner’s representative experience.

• Relevant professional engineering license, project management certification, or postgraduate qualification.

• Experience with Philippine power projects and coordination with local authorities.

Years of experience — proposed

• At least 15 years of relevant engineering experience, including 5 years leading engineering teams or managing multidisciplinary design delivery.

• Work arrangement: Primarily onsite; project-based engagement.
