Job summary

Mattenplant Philippines Inc invites a Drafting & Design Engineer to prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings for water and wastewater systems, ensuring compliance with project specs and fabrication needs. You will translate engineering concepts into accurate drawings and support fabrication activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical or Environmental Engineering degree and has 5+ years of drafting/design experience, proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, with piping layout and GA drawing skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting or design engineering, preferably in water/wastewater treatment, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D CAD software.
• Experience in piping layout, equipment design, and fabrication drawings is preferred.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, GA drawings, and process engineering drawings.
• Strong technical drawing and drafting skills.
• Good understanding of engineering standards and fabrication processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and within a project team.
• Good communication and coordination skills with engineers, project teams, and production staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings, layouts, and fabrication drawings using CAD software.
• Develop GA, piping layouts, skid layouts, and equipment drawings based on engineering specifications.
• Work closely with the engineering, project, and production teams to ensure designs meet project and fabrication requirements.
• Revise drawings based on technical feedback, site conditions, and project changes.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, and company design guidelines.
• Produce BOM and drawing documentation required for fabrication and procurement.
• Support the Factory/Production team with technical clarifications during fabrication and assembly.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for design inputs when required.
• Maintain proper document control and drawing revision records.
• Assist in design improvements and standardization of engineering drawings.
