Job summary

MHP International Construction Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman to support the Civil/Structural design team on substation projects. You will prepare and revise structural detailing drawings and site development plans.

Responsibilities include maintaining CAD files, coordinating with the Structural Designer, and assisting in generating drawing logs and schedules. A background in civil/structural drafting with AutoCAD proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of drafting experience in civil/structural projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drafting & detailing).
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail in technical drawings.
• Experience with substation or power infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise structural detailing drawings (foundations, walls, supports, gantries).
• Draft site development plans: grading, drainage, utilities.

About the role

A detail-oriented Draftsman to support Civil/Structural design team on substation projects, preparing and revising structural detailing drawings and site development plans.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and revise structural detailing drawings (foundations, retaining walls, equipment supports, gantries, steel/concrete framing) based on the designer's/engineer's instructions

• Assist in drafting site development plans — grading, drainage, and utility layouts

• Maintain and organize CAD files, layers, xrefs, and sheet sets per project standards

• Coordinate with the Structural Designer for drawing updates and revisions

• Support material take-off documentation and drawing logs

About you

• 2–4 years of drafting experience in civil/structural projects

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drafting & detailing)

• Working knowledge of standard structural detailing practices

• Vocational diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field

• Keen eye for detail and accuracy in technical drawings

• Exposure to substation or power infrastructure projects (nice to have)

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel & Word for drawing logs and schedules (nice to have)
