Job summary

BW Water is seeking a Senior Detail Design Engineer in the Philippines to manage engineering drawing templates and ensure QMS compliance. You will prepare mechanical designs and AutoCAD drawings (P&IDs, schematics, GA, isometrics) and support bidding and project phases with on-site surveys.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree, 7+ years of experience, and strong skills in CAD, drawing, and project coordination. Water treatment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering/construction management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years work experience in engineering/drafting roles.
• Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D and professional drawing standards.
• Strong communication and project management capabilities.
• Experience with water and wastewater treatment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain engineering drawing templates and QA/QMS adherence.
• Prepare mechanical design drawings and AutoCAD PID schematics.
• Support bidding and project phases; perform site surveys when needed.
• Coordinate with process engineering, fabrication, and project teams.
• Develop and optimize drawings for installation and commissioning.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Detail Design Engineer to manage and maintain engineering drawing templates while ensuring compliance with quality standards and QMS requirements. The role includes preparing mechanical design drawings, developing AutoCAD drawings (P&IDs, schematics, GA, isometrics, fabrication, and installation), supporting bidding and project phases, and conducting site surveys.

Job Requirements

• Degree or diploma in engineering/construction management or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years work experiences
• Extensive knowledge and experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D
• Excellent technical drawing skills
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge in Revit, Navisworks, Advance Steel, Inventor is added advantage
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong creative and visualization skills
• Able to perform independently and support project team
• Good experience in water and wastewater treatment will be added advantage

Job Responsibilities

• Administer, develop, maintain all related engineering drawing templates.
• To follow all Group quality directives and input and suggest improvements where relevant.
• To follow the company's policy to ensure as much project scope as possible is kept within the Group.
• Ensure all the work task is following the requirement in the QMS system.
• Assist on detail drawing work as needed in a bidding and project phase.
• Prepare mechanical design drawing during basic and detail engineering.
• Prepares and develops drawings with AutoCAD for PID, Schematic diagram on process, GA drawing, Isometric Drawing, fabrication drawing, assembly drawing, installation drawing and manuals.
• Attend meeting with client from time to time subject to the project location.
• Carry out site survey in order to gain required information and/or verification of existing or new plant documentation as and when it is needed.
• Carry out and ensure good filing system for electronic and hard copy documents and is easily retrievable.
• Liaise with process engineering, fabrication, and project department in order to have a more competitive and precise design and costing.
• Maintain effective communication with all internal and external relevant disciplines.
• To continue the improvement plan for the basic and detail engineering work.
• Able to travel and stay short term on project site when needed.
