Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer to guide installations, migrations, and advisory services across GitLab capabilities. You’ll lead migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments and mentor engineers in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.

Engage with customers, product, and engineering teams to ensure secure, reliable workflows and successful delivery across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient with infrastructure as code and configuration as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef or Kubernetes.
• Experience with two or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands-on experience deploying or configuring GitLab; strong Git and source control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GitLab Professional Services engagements (installation, migration, training, advisory) across GitLab capabilities.
• Plan and execute deployments from single-node Omnibus to large reference architectures using IaC and CiC practices.
• Lead migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments and advise on secure, reliable workflows.
• Collaborate with Engagement and Project Managers to improve delivery processes and consistency.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide delivery across multiple concurrent engagements.
