Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM design software, G-code programming for CNC machines, and 3D printing.

• Guides Associate / Design Engineers in designing and creating drawings for compliance with codes, standards, procedures, and customer requirements.

Job description

The Senior Design Engineer conceptualizes, plans, and executes product designs that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

• Delivers high-quality products that meet customer requirements and quality standards by conceptualizing product designs and creating drawings and prototypes using CAD/CAM software
• Ensures customer satisfaction and adherence to quality standards by guiding Associate / Design Engineers in designing and creating drawings for compliance with established codes, standards, company procedures, and customer requirements
• Collaborates with other departments, such as costing, production, and Quality Control, to facilitate the efficient and quality delivery of customer requirements
• Assists the Design Supervisor in developing new products through the creation of prototypes and drawings of proposed concepts

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any course with relevant technical training in CNC software
• At least five (5) years of combined experience as a Design Engineer and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer in a similar industry
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Design software, G-code programming for CNC machines, and 3D printing
