Job summary

TransUnion is a global information and insights company seeking a Senior Consultant in Data Science and Analytics to partner with leading financial institutions. You will solve complex business challenges with data, analytics, and consulting and help clients improve acquisition, portfolio performance, and credit risk management.

You will lead analytics engagements, deploy predictive models and BI solutions, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for executives.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Engineering, OR related quantitative field.
• Minimum of four years analytics experience in Financial Services or related industry.
• Proven success in client-facing consulting or advisory engagements.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending, credit risk management, and financial services analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or R, with experience using SQL, Hive, or other data manipulation tools.
• Experience applying statistical, predictive, and machine learning techniques to solve business problems.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience presenting analytical findings to business and executive audiences.]

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics consulting engagements across the consumer lending lifecycle, including acquisition, portfolio management, customer retention, and risk management.
• Develop and deliver predictive risk management and business intelligence solutions for financial services clients.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques such as segmentation, regression, decision trees, machine learning, and statistical modeling to solve business problems.
• Design and develop programs for data extraction, transformation, and analysis using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Hive.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations and executive-level presentations.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions.
• Support the development of project proposals, client presentations, and solution recommendations.
• Help clients maximize the value of TransUnion's data, analytics, and decisioning capabilities.
• Mentor and support junior team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Manage multiple client projects while ensuring high-quality deliverables and strong stakeholder engagement.
