Job summary

Gratitude Philippines is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on batch and real-time processing, ETL/ELT, and scalable data architectures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on with GCP, especially Dataflow, Cloud Composer, BigQuery.
• Experience building batch and real-time pipelines.
• Advanced SQL with optimization skills.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience with Beam, Airflow, and orchestration.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data formats.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Build batch and streaming data solutions with Dataflow and BigQuery.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes for data integration.
• Optimize complex SQL for performance.
• Implement streaming pipelines with Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
• Manage workflow orchestration using Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Handle structured and semi-structured data (Avro, Parquet, JSON, CSV).
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and set up logging/alerts.
• Ensure data quality, security, and performance across systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
