Job summary

Qodea is seeking a data engineer in the Philippines (Metro Manila, Taguig) to own the delivery of MSP customer data platforms. You will act as a trusted advisor on GCP-based challenges, collaborate with delivery teams and customer engineers, and drive reusable technology stacks and processes across projects.

You will mentor colleagues, participate in customer visits as needed, and ensure data integrity and performance across pipelines and ML models.

Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers.
• Strong Python experience with data pipelines, automation, and workflow orchestration.
• Proficient in SQL, especially BigQuery SQL.
• Version control experience (Git).
• Strong Python expertise with Pandas, NumPy, and Airflow.
• Experience with ELT/ETL processes and data wrangling.
• Dashboard analytics experience (PowerBI, Looker Studio, or Tableau).
• Client-facing experience and ability to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and mentorship mindset.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain knowledge materials for MSP customer delivery.
• Act as trusted advisor, leveraging GCP patterns to address technical challenges.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, Google, and customer engineers to standardize stacks.
• Document and implement managed service processes aligned with project tech stacks.
• Upskill and mentor colleagues to ensure smooth cross-team delivery.
• Represent Qodea in relationships with Google or customers; travel as needed.
• Handle customer escalations and patches to resolve data platform issues.
• Investigate issues and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting.
• Monitor data infrastructure for availability, correctness, and performance.
• Ensure data pipelines and ML models run reliably; quarterly customer reviews.
• Plan implementation of customer changes and maintain data ingestion ETL/storage.
