Lingaro Group Philippines is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) to model data and build scalable pipelines.

You will design data architectures, implement storage optimization, and monitor performance while mentoring junior engineers. Flexible work options include remote or office-based arrangements to suit location in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience as Data Engineer with Python, SQL, and GCP (BigQuery).
• Strong OO programming and SQL skills; cloud data pipelines design and deployment.
• Experience with data modelling techniques and database optimization.
• Knowledge of query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Model data from diverse sources and technologies.
• Troubleshoot and support complex problems to deliver new features.
• Design and optimize data storage architectures (data lakes/warehouses).
• Implement partitioning, compression, indexing for storage/retrieval efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks, tune queries, and implement caching strategies.
• Resolve issues related to data processing, storage, or infrastructure.
• Monitor performance, perform root-cause analysis, ensure smooth data operations.
• Train and mentor junior data engineers.
