Job summary

NCS Philippines in Taguig seeks a Senior Data Engineering Lead to mentor a team of data engineers and drive enterprise-scale data pipelines and architectures.

You will partner with data scientists and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, and implement modern frameworks across cloud platforms to ensure data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a leadership or senior technical role in data engineering.
• Proven experience building and managing enterprise data pipelines and architectures.
• Strong cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers.
• Define and enforce data engineering standards and architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to design scalable solutions.
• Design and maintain high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimize data lake, data warehouse, and streaming data solutions.
• Ensure support for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Develop data transformation processes for analytics-ready datasets.
• Implement data quality checks and governance.
• Define data remediation strategies.
• Implement and manage cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Apply Spark, Kafka, Airflow, DBT for processing.
• Oversee data modeling and database optimization.
• Ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines to meet SLAs.
• Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies.
• Suggest improvements for scalability and reliability.
