Job summary

Qodea is seeking a data engineer in the Philippines (Metro Manila, Taguig) to own the delivery of MSP customer data platforms. You will act as a trusted advisor on GCP-based challenges, collaborate with delivery teams and customer engineers, and drive reusable technology stacks and processes across projects.

You will mentor colleagues, participate in customer visits as needed, and ensure data integrity and performance across pipelines and ML models.

Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers.
• Strong Python experience with data pipelines, automation, and workflow orchestration.
• Proficient in SQL, especially BigQuery SQL.
• Version control experience (Git).
• Strong Python expertise with Pandas, NumPy, and Airflow.
• Experience with ELT/ETL processes and data wrangling.
• Dashboard analytics experience (PowerBI, Looker Studio, or Tableau).
• Client-facing experience and ability to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and mentorship mindset.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.

• Ensure data pipelines and ML models run reliably; quarterly customer reviews.

What Success Looks Like

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers
• Strong experience in Python with demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines and automating data workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL, particularly BigQuery SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong expertise in Python, with a particular focus on libraries and tools commonly used in data engineering, such as Pandas, NumPy, Apache Airflow.
• Experience with data pipelines, ELT/ETL processes, and data wrangling.
• Dashboard analytics (PowerBI, Looker [Studio] or Tableau) experience
• Worked in a client facing role previously and ability to communicate and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
