Job summary

GCash in Manila is seeking a data engineer to design and develop data pipelines ingesting data into a data warehouse and to optimize pipelines to meet SLAs. You will participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure data quality across warehouse tables.

The role requires a BS in IT or related field and 4–6 years in IT delivery or data delivery, with strong SQL and ETL skills. Experience with Big Data technologies and cloud native tools is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
4–6 years of experience in IT project/data delivery, specifically Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence.
Strong SQL and ETL development experience, with data warehousing context.
Experience with Big Data technologies and cloud environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop data pipelines to ingest data from source systems into the data warehouse.
Support and optimize existing pipelines to meet downstream SLAs.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver data ingestion requirements for the data warehouse platform.
Ensure data quality within the data warehouse tables and maintain standards.
