Job summary

Tech One Global is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in the Philippines to architect and optimize data pipelines using Azure technologies. You will lead end-to-end design for scalable, secure data solutions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with analytics and ML teams to drive innovative data platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering with strategic input, data governance, and a hybrid work arrangement in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, data science or related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, leading complex data projects and mentoring teams.
Strong SQL and Python for building and automating data pipelines, transformations and validations.
Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures; performance tuning and optimization.
CI/CD and DevOps practices in data engineering workflows; version control with Git.

Responsibilities

Lead design of scalable, secure data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric.
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT frameworks for diverse data sources.
Monitor data quality, reliability, and performance across environments with alerting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analytics, reporting and ML solutions.
Mentor junior data engineers; conduct code reviews and promote best practices.
Evaluate new technologies to enhance scalability and maintainability of the data platform.
