Job summary

SGV & Co. seeks a Legal Counsel to provide legal and compliance support across corporate, commercial, regulatory, and data privacy matters. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, conduct legal research, and advise on governance and risk.

You will work with business stakeholders to identify legal/regulatory risks, assist in audits and regulatory reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable laws while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

Law degree or equivalent required.
Around 1 year of related experience in contract law, corporate law, compliance, or a related legal field.
Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents.
Working knowledge of corporate, commercial, regulatory, contract, and data privacy laws.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, including commercial agreements and NDAs.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, advisories, memoranda, and other legal documentation.
Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and data privacy requirements.
Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal, regulatory, and compliance risks.
Support audits, compliance reviews, investigations, and regulatory reporting activities.
Collaborate with business units and other stakeholders on legal, compliance, governance, and risk management matters.
