Job summary

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and taxation.
• Experience with XERO, SAP, ERP, Oracle or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting audits and month-end/year-end closing.
• Experience in construction industry is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings clearly.
• Knowledge of applicable tax laws and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update complete and accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Regularly reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting by analyzing historical data and market trends.
• Prepare and file tax returns, support tax audits, resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor statutory filing and payment compliance.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Manage invoicing, billing, collections, and payments.
• Conduct variance and cost analyses to support decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Assist with special projects or investigations.
