Job summary

Emapta Philippines seeks a Senior Conflicts Advisor to lead complex conflict-of-interest reviews, assess regulatory considerations, and guide stakeholders toward risk-based resolutions. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of specialized conflicts management experience within regulated environments.
  • Expertise in conflicts rules, professional conduct standards, regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate conflicts and provide risk-based recommendations.
  • Experience with conflicts assessments and escalation processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct conflict checks for new clients and matters.
  • Review and analyze conflict reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluate potential conflicts and recommend resolutions or escalation.
  • Serve as primary contact for conflicts-related inquiries to lawyers and stakeholders.
  • Gather and validate information required for conflict assessments.
  • Draft conflicts and confidentiality waivers and related documentation.
  • Maintain records of conflict searches, approvals and decisions.
  • Ensure conflicts processes comply with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support partners and business teams across jurisdictions with conflicts management.
  • Build collaborative relationships to promote timely decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of specialized conflicts management experience within a law firm, professional services organization, financial institution, or other regulated environment
  • Strong expertise in conflicts rules, professional conduct standards, regulatory requirements, and conflicts-related policies
  • Proven ability to evaluate complex conflicts, exercise sound professional judgment, and deliver practical, risk-based recommendations
  • Hands-on experience conducting conflicts assessments, analyzing findings, identifying potential risks, and determining appropriate resolution or escalation
  • Strong analytical, research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence advising senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Proven relationship management and service-oriented skills across international or multi-jurisdictional environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Intapp or comparable conflicts/client onboarding platforms is highly desirable
  • Previous exposure to international professional services or similarly regulated environments is advantageous

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for conflicts-related inquiries by providing guidance to lawyers, partners, and business stakeholders
  • Gather and validate information required to complete conflict assessments
  • Draft conflicts and confidentiality waivers, along with other related documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of conflict searches, approvals, and decisions to support compliance and audit requirements
  • Ensure conflicts processes comply with firm policies, procedures, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support partners, fee earners, and business teams across multiple jurisdictions with conflicts management activities
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote consistent and timely decision-making
