Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in 401(k) administration, US or local payroll, benefits administration, retirement plans, employee benefits, client services, or related HR/administrative functions
- Relevant payroll or benefits administration experience is considered; 401(k) experience is an advantage
- Exposure to 401(k), pension, profit-sharing, compliance, reporting, documentation, or similar administrative processes is an advantage
- Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, stakeholder service, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs, with the ability to quickly learn new web-based systems, portals, and digital tools
- What You'll Do
- Service & Relationship Management
- Facilitate communication among clients, internal teams, administrators, payroll and benefits providers, advisors, and external partners
- Provide clear updates on deliverables, required information, timelines, and pending requests
- Drive outstanding items to completion and route specialized technical, legal, tax, or compliance concerns to the appropriate teams
Operational & Compliance Support
- Compile and verify payroll, employee, census, ownership, benefits, and supporting information for administrative requirements
- Assist with testing, reporting, notices, contributions, distributions, documentation updates, and compliance processes
- Oversee calendars and trackers for key deadlines, corrective actions, deliverables, and outstanding requirements
Client Administration
- Deliver professional support by responding to inquiries, clarifying procedures, and anticipating potential concerns
- Organize meetings, reviews, enrollment sessions, supporting materials, and resulting action items
- Keep electronic files current and capture interactions, requests, and status updates within the client management system
- Protect sensitive client, employee, payroll, and benefits information in accordance with confidentiality requirements
