Senior Compliance Leader — AML/Regulatory Strategy

Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a seasoned Chief Compliance Officer to lead and strengthen our regulatory framework. You will oversee the Compliance Management System, AML/CTF controls, and regulatory reporting to ensure alignment with laws and industry standards.

You will serve as the primary liaison with regulators, advise senior management on obligations and governance, and drive compliance through organizational transformation and enterprise-wide risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, accountancy, finance, business administration, or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or a related function within a regulated financial institution.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior compliance leadership role; prior regulatory approval or confirmation as Chief Compliance Officer preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial services regulations, AML/CTF, data privacy, regulatory reporting, and other applicable compliance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of compliance governance, regulatory risk management, internal controls, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of the Compliance Management System.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities for timely resolution of regulatory matters.
• Oversee AML/CTF framework including risk identification, due diligence, monitoring, and reporting.
• Advise senior management on regulatory obligations, compliance risks, and governance.
• Ensure timely submission of regulatory reports, certifications, and compliance requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and internal controls.
• Lead compliance risk assessments, reviews, and monitoring activities.
• Provide guidance to the Board and Executive Management on compliance performance and regulatory developments.
• Lead compliance training and awareness to embed integrity and regulatory compliance culture.
• Partner with business, risk, legal and other functions to embed compliance in strategy.
• Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and advise on actions to senior management and the Board.
• Support transformation and business evolution by integrating compliance into strategic decisions.
