Job summary

Binance is seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance leader to act as the main liaison with financial regulators across jurisdictions. You will manage regulatory inspections, remediation programs, and policy development to ensure compliance for payment and fiat activities.

The role requires 10+ years in regulatory roles within finance, with direct regulator engagement and licensing experience. Strong collaboration with Legal, Risk, and Operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Regulatory Compliance/Regulatory Affairs within regulated financial institutions.
• Experience engaging with financial regulators and licensing frameworks (PSP/EMI/MSB).
• Experience leading regulatory inspections, examinations, audits, and remediation programs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for financial regulators and supervisory authorities.
• Lead regulatory inspections, inquiries, audits, and ongoing supervisory engagements.
• Manage remediation programs arising from regulatory reviews, audits, or internal assessments.
• Coordinate cross-functional responses to regulatory requests and ensure timely delivery of required documentation.
• Draft and maintain regulatory submissions, including Client Money Policies, fund flow reports, risk assessments, and other regulatory documentation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
• Develop and maintain compliance frameworks supporting key payment and fiat activities
• Conduct compliance assessments of payment service providers, payment agents, settlement agents, and other financial partners.
• Perform due diligence and risk evaluations for payment-related business relationships.
• Ensure compliance with cross-border payment regulations and applicable financial crime requirements.
• Support and lead the expansion of payment Licences into new jurisdictions
• Lead the development, review, and enhancement of internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls, supporting business growth but ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice
• Conduct gap analyses against regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Perform onboarding risk assessments for new partners, vendors, and strategic business relationships.
• Cross function collaboration, including with Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, and Business teams to ensure regulatory requirements are appropriately embedded into business processes.
