Haskoning in Makati, Philippines is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer to grow our Water/Climate Resilience and Maritime Infra portfolios. You will drive opportunity analysis, networking with government agencies and donors, and design strategies to promote consulting services.

You will lead or support bid preparation, manage relationships, and identify new projects while collaborating with a global team focused on climate resilience and sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience interfacing with DPWH, DOTr, ADB, and WB at minimum.
• Knowledge of related disciplines (data analytics, IT, risk management).
• Familiar with procurement laws in the Philippines.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

What you do as a Senior Business Development Officer

As a senior business development officer, you will essentially be the engine that will help our company grow and expand our business portfolio. You will be working together with our business development leads and other directors/advisors in the following tasks and responsibilities:

• conduct industry analysis with focus on project opportunities for the company, monitor emerging development policies, funding trends, and project opportunities in the ODA and private sector
• represent Haskoning in networking, coordination, and business development meetings with government agencies, funding institutions, and project partners
• design and implement marketing and business development strategies for the promotion of consulting firm’s services with government units, private sector, and donor institutions
• conduct external relations/networking with company clients and donors
• formulate and implement specific information network for marketing and project preparation purposes
• identify projects to be pursued specifically related to disaster risk management, water/ climate resilience and maritime sectors
• evaluate opportunities and prepare inputs for bid/no-bid decisions
• identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and industry events
• provide project management oversight and monitoring of the performances of awarded projects, specifically projects that are considered major pursuits (when required)
• utilize the results of performance assessment during marketing activities with clients for future projects
• lead or assist in the preparation and packaging of technical and financial proposals of projects (when required)
• provide support in contract negotiations with clients, associates, sub-contractors or consultants

What you bring

Qualifications and Experience:

• relevant bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or other relevant degree
• minimum 10 years of relevant experience
