Job summary

Haskoning seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Water & Maritime) to lead geotechnical activities for projects in the Philippines, while providing expert input to the APAC region. You will manage proposals, conceptual and detailed designs, and construction phases, coordinating with national and international colleagues and clients.

The role mixes office and site work and requires a strong track record in coastal, water, and flood-resilience projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Licensed Philippine Civil Engineer.
• At least 10 years of geotechnical experience in water, maritime, coastal, land reclamation, and flood resilience within a consultancy.
• Experience in international, multicultural environments and proposal writing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical work on Philippines projects and support APAC with expert input.
• Write proposals and develop concept and detailed designs, guiding construction management.
• Oversee site investigations and risk assessments (settlement, liquefaction, slope stability).
• Coordinate with national and international colleagues and clients.
• Review geotechnical analyses and ensure technical excellence.
• Utilize advanced geotechnical software for analysis.
• Liaise with authorities, contractors, and consultants.
• Take overall responsibility for project deliverables.
