Job summary

CC.Talent is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to support its tender pipeline in Australia. The role involves reviewing tender documentation, conducting detailed quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, and obtaining subcontractor quotes for various civil projects.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in civil estimating, strong knowledge of Australian construction methods and market pricing, and can manage estimating tasks with minimal supervision to meet tight

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction estimating.
• Proven experience in road construction, earthworks, and civil infrastructure.
• Ability to independently complete quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction methods, market pricing, and commercial risk assessment.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software; able to read drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Review tender packages, drawings, specs, BOQs, and contracts.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities for civil works.
• Develop cost estimates covering labour, plant, materials, subcontracts and contingencies.
• Prepare lump-sum tenders, schedules of rates, and pricing breakdowns.
• Identify commercial risks and develop tender assumptions and exclusions.
• Maintain tender records and support submissions with clear documentation.
• Support negotiations and post-tender clarifications.
