Job summary

PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to monitor construction, conduct inspections, and ensure plan compliance on our Batangas site.

You will coordinate design revisions, manage contractor coordination, and maintain project documentation with a focus on quality and safety. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 5–8 years of on-site QA/inspection, land development and project management experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience as a Senior Civil Engineer or similar.
• On-site QA and Inspection experience.
• Preferably Land Development and Project Management exposure.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises on-site civil and structural works per approved drawings and specs.
• Coordinates with engineers, contractors, owners, and consultants to address design changes.
• Conducts inspections, identifies defects, and reviews material submittals for quality.
• Reviews cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and contractor billings; assists with variations.
• Monitors progress against the project schedule and suggests alternative methods to avoid delays.
• Acts as Safety/Materials/Quality Engineer on-site when appointed, overseeing safety and testing.
• Prepares QA/QC documentation and escalates critical issues to the Construction Manager.

About the role

As a Senior Civil Engineer at PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc., you will play a crucial role in monitoring construction, conducts inspections and testing for plan compliance, coordinates design revisions, and manages contractor coordination and project documentation. Based in our site in Batangas, this full-time position requires a Civil Engineer with a keen eye and experience in project management, preferably in Land Development.

Key responsibilities

• Supervises all on-site civil and structural works to ensure strict compliance with the latest approved construction drawings, quality standards, and specifications.

• Collaborates closely with engineers of various disciplines, contractors, owners, and consultants to address design issues, construction changes, and project requirements.

• Conducts in-process inspections, identifies defects, manages rectification lists, and reviews material submittals to ensure the highest standards of quality.

• Reviews cost estimates, verifies detailed Bills of Quantities, evaluates contractor billings, and assists the Project QS with variation and change orders.

• Monitors contractor accomplishments against the project schedule and recommends alternative methodologies or materials to prevent delays.

• Acts as the designated Safety, Materials, or Quality Control Engineer when appointed on-site, overseeing safety measures and material testing.

• Prepares necessary documentation, ensures all company-specific QA/QC forms are properly executed, and escalates critical site issues directly to the Construction Manager.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Senior Civil Engineer or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.

• On-site experience in Quality Assurance and Inspection, Project Punch listing, Project Turnover, etc.

• Preferably with experience in Land Development projects and Project Management/Consultant experience.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Proficient in handling site documentation and project management tools.

• Amenable to work in Batangas (Stay‑in available).
