Mitsubishi Corporation in the Philippines seeks a seasoned professional to identify and develop power business opportunities, focusing on renewable energy and related sectors. You will coordinate with HQ during development and negotiations, and gather market and regulatory information.
You will prepare market data reports to support decisions, engage in client conversations, and build strong relationships with partners and government counterparts while monitoring ongoing investments.
Identify and develop potential power business opportunities primarily in renewable energy and other power businesses such as gas generation, retail electricity, and other potential energy-related businesses.
Play important role in aligning the business interests of potential partners with HQ during the business development stage and in negotiations.
Gather and organize information on project opportunities, potential partners, deal requirements, commercial terms, regulatory policies, and market developments relevant to business development targets.
Prepare and analyze market data reports and conduct investigations to support the management decision-making process
Facilitate and participate actively in client conversations and other stakeholder discussions.
Monitor the current operations and/or milestones of the existing investment projects and determine opportunities to enhance the current operations.
Handle various communications such as internal approvals, project documentations and reports, and play an active role in the coordination across stakeholders to support the project promptly.
Keep track of business issues and concerns related to ongoing projects and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
Monitor Philippine power sector developments, including WESM, retail electricity, renewable energy, carbon market, competitive selection process (CSP), and other relevant DOE/ERC issuances that would have an impact on existing investment projects
Build a strong business network and establish deep relationships with business partners, colleagues, and counterparts, and other government counterparts relevant to your business.
Work with professionalism, integrity, accuracy, and respect for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct regular meetings with existing clients and arrange courtesy meetings for new and prospective clients.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
Exposure to business development activities or at least a solid understanding of business development processes and practices.
Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience
Working knowledge of Philippine power regulations
