hammerjack is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to manage payroll, bookkeeping, and compliance across Australia-based clients. You will handle monthly reconciliations, reporting, and statutory lodgements while supporting the Director on accounting activities.

You’ll work with MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks, ensure timely payroll processing, and help maintain accurate client records in a hybrid setup during probation. Opportunities for growth and client exposure are offered.

Formación

• 3+ years’ AU Bookkeeper experience in a busy environment.
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business admin, finance, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Australian awards and award interpretation.
• Solid accounting principles and practices knowledge.
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own the ledgers: monthly bookkeeping and reconciliation across MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks to balance sheet.
• Process payments and bank uploads with authorized personnel.
• Run payroll including PAYG, superannuation, and leave accruals.
• Prepare and lodge IAS and BAS statements and workers’ compensation forms.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets and P&L, investigate variances, report ahead of board meetings.
• Prepare annual budgets and coordinate audits with auditors.
• Maintain client ACNC records and insurance renewals in project tools.
• Download childcare software reports for bookkeeping and reporting.
• Maintain project records in Asana with tasks, due dates, status updates.
