Globe is seeking a Backend Software Engineer in the Philippines to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will work on cloud-native applications, data processing, and integrations, collaborating with product and QA teams to deliver reliable software.

The role emphasizes independence in delivering well-defined features, applying AI-assisted development tools, and adhering to engineering standards while supporting production systems and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Professional backend software development experience with API design and integrations.
• Experience with Node.js/NestJS, Python, Go or Java, and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and components.
• Build RESTful APIs and service-to-service integrations with scalable systems.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and frontend teams on API contracts and flows.
• Develop on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) with containerized deployments.
• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, and error handling.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while ensuring quality.
