Bluelight is a premier software consultancy seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead high-impact architecture decisions and mentor engineering teams. You will design low-latency AWS-based service architectures, enforce multi-tenant security models, and drive best practices across RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.

You will collaborate with clients to defend architecture choices during reviews and contribute to architecture documentation, ADRs, and technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software development experience with architecture focus.
• Design low-latency AWS service architectures and distributed components.
• Latency budgets (p95/p99) and durable commits in hot paths.
• Audit/evidence systems with append-only logs and versioned models.
• Secure multi-tenant architectures; RLS considerations.
• Strong PostgreSQL/AuroraDB experience with RLS at model level.
• RESTful APIs and SDK integrations; architecture reviews.
• Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript expertise across stack.
• Capacity modeling and AWS Well-Architected projections.
• Lead architectural standards and mentor teams.
