Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a seasoned software project manager to guide complex initiatives from kickoff to delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with clients, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and quality targets.

The role requires strong communication, Agile discipline, and a track record of delivering on fixed deadlines while balancing risks and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
• Experience delivering against fixed deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths.
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines).
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives.
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies.
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• PMP, CSM, or PSM certification.
• Experience on projects with regulatory or compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage software development projects end-to-end across multiple streams.

• Maintain risk, issue, and change-control processes; track budgets and resources.
• Provide regular client-facing status updates and milestone reporting.
