Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Solution Architect to act as the technical authority across a portfolio of digital products on a shared TypeScript/Node.js stack and AWS platform. You will govern architecture decisions, lead security and resilience improvements, and align teams and stakeholders on technical direction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of solution architecture experience in distributed systems on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-team leadership.
• Proficient in Terraform and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document current architecture across a portfolio of products.
• Validate architecture decisions to ensure consistency with standards.
• Own and drive security remediation backlog (auth, IAM, secrets).
• Lead resilience hardening with retry, circuit breakers, and queue patterns.
• Support cloud account separation and governance for non-prod access.
• Provide IaC governance with Terraform and secure patterns.
• Improve CI/CD with security scanning and metrics instrumentation.
• Advise on event streaming reliability for Kafka-based services.
