Job summary

Synechron seeks a Senior AWS Engineer with 8–15+ years of IT infrastructure and cloud experience, including hands-on AWS architecture and migration expertise. The role emphasizes secure, scalable cloud solutions, Windows/Linux admin, IaC, and database migrations for enterprise workloads.

You will design, migrate, implement, and support resilient cloud infrastructure while collaborating with security, networking, and application teams to ensure reliable cloud adoption and optimized operations.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of IT infrastructure and cloud engineering experience.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS architecture and migration.
• Strong enterprise data center infrastructure knowledge.
• Windows and Linux administration experience.
• Experience migrating IBM WebSphere, .NET, Java, Node.js workloads.
• Oracle and MS SQL Server migrations experience.
• Strong networking knowledge: DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, Direct Connect.
• IaC using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with monitoring and observability solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Lead or contribute to migrations involving enterprise data center, apps, and databases.
• Assess infrastructure to define migration approaches, risks, sequencing, and target state.
• Support migration of IBM WebSphere, .NET, Java, Node.js workloads to AWS.
• Plan and execute Oracle and MS SQL Server migrations with data integrity.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux across enterprise and cloud.
• Design and support network connectivity: DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, Direct Connect.
• Develop and maintain IaC with CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
• Create scripts for automation, validation, deployment, and support.
• Implement monitoring and observability to track health and capacity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Produce designs, migration plans, runbooks, and architecture docs.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Apply security, compliance, resilience, cost, and sustainability considerations.
