Job summary

Vena Group seeks an experienced QA/QC lead to support the construction management team for HV facilities, substations, and transmission lines. The role ensures QA/QC compliance, coordinates with EPC contractors, and supervises test procedures, inspection schedules, and material quality from manufacturing to site.

The candidate will review design requirements, manage punch lists, and maintain QA/QC documentation including certificates, test results, NC reports and site instructions.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years in substation and transmission line construction.
• Thorough understanding of PEC, IEEE/IEC substation and transmission line standards; familiarity with quality requirements.
• Proficiency with computer software such as AutoCAD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• HSSE management: monitor HSSE performance and coordinate with site HSE Manager.
• Inspect and verify quality procedures for HV facility construction per method statements and ITPs.
• Ensure quality and workmanship for substation, transmission line, control, protection, AC/DC systems; coordinate testing and audits.

Job Summary:

The role shall support construction management team and handles TL/SS and NGCP works QA/QC.

Key Responsibilities:

• HSSE management: follow Project Company’s HSSE performance in coordination with site HSE Manager in order to analyse periodically EPC Contractors implementation of HSSE management
• Carry out inspection and check for all quality-related procedures in the construction of the HV Facility and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
• Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity related to the substation, transmission line, secondary control and protection system, AC/DC system, and grounding installation. Must have knowledge of substation and transmission line installation and commissioning.
• Supervise the effective implementation of tests procedure, inspection schedules and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality check and audit on processes.
• Review the quality of all materials at the manufacturing site and construction side to ensure compliance with project technical specification.
• Management of punch list items and ensure timely and effective rectification works.
• Maintain knowledge on QAQC standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for substation, transmission line, AC/DC cabling and EBOP related works.
• Verify contractor and supplier quality requirements are specified during contractor documentation submittals.
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
• Maintain knowledge database of all quality standards related to electrical engineering works and ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers.
• Review design requirements, plans and specifications for constructability and risk management;
• Plan, coordinate with contractors and review TL routing/survey campaigns;
• Prepare and review reports, proposals, BOQ and cost estimates for EBOP related activities.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants and EPC contractors to coordinate and supervise various TL/SS design activities;
• Manage substation, transmission line pole/tower, EPC contractors/designers as the case may be, including necessary workshops, and proper 3rd party review to ensure suitable designs in accordance with company interests;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pre-requisites:

• More than 5 years in substation and transmission line construction
• Thorough understanding of PEC, IEEE/IEC substation and transmission line standards;
• Proficiency with computer software (i.e. AutoCAD, etc.) is desirable.
• Experience on construction QA/QC is a plus.
• Willing to be relocated on site
