Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd seeks a Senior Architectural Technician / Draftsperson for a fully remote role based in the Philippines. You’ll work directly with a Melbourne client as an independent contractor, producing DA and construction drawings and mentoring junior staff.

The position requires a tertiary drafting qualification, 5+ years’ experience, strong CAD/BIM skills (Revit), and knowledge of building standards. Australian experience is preferred; Rhino3D is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed a tertiary qualification in Drafting or Building Design.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technician / Draftsperson or related role.
• Extensive knowledge of building standards and regulations.
• Advanced computer literacy with CAD/BIM software and MS Office.
• Minimum of 3 years of Revit experience with large-scale drawing packages and 3D modelling.
• Extensive experience in technical documentation and detailing.
• Proven ability to develop detailed drawings balancing design with buildability and cost.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for complex requirements.
• Methodology-driven problem solving and multi-view analysis.
• Strong organizational skills for resourcing and delivery across projects.
• Australian experience is strongly preferred.
• Rhino3D experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality detailed design and DA drawing packages.
• Produce high-quality detailed construction documentation sets for regulatory review.
• Act as internal expert on building codes and regulations across projects for Building Permit readiness.
• Review and integrate consultant drawings into a cohesive document set.
• Take a lead role during construction services, respond to RFIs and resolve issues.
• Mentor the wider team and optimize CAD/BIM systems and processes.
• Prioritize workloads across projects and meet timelines.
• Maintain high standards and take accountability for documentation work.
