Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking an AIMS Application Support Engineer to maintain stability, security, and performance of the AIMS Warehouse Management System across multiple centers. The role provides technical leadership for incident resolution, upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and continuous service improvement.

It operates in a 24x7 model, collaborating with infrastructure, database, networking, SAP, and vendor teams to ensure uninterrupted operations and strong stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience in application development and production support.
• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Experience with SQL Performance Tuning, DTS, SSIS, SSRS.
• Strong understanding of database administration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Experience supporting applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Perl.
• Strong understanding of web app architecture and client/server environments.
• Experience integrating SaaS and enterprise apps through APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 production support across a rotating three-shift model.
• Perform application upgrades, patching, and maintenance to keep systems current and secure.
• Monitor health, alerts, and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues.
• Manage ServiceNow incidents and requests with clear communications and documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application, infra, DB, and integration layers.
• Collaborate with infra, DB, SAP, and vendor teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in change/release planning and ensure deployment standards.
