Job summary

Expeditors International in Manila is seeking an Accounts Payable/General Accounting professional with 4+ years of accounting experience to join a collaborative finance team. You will perform validation, recording of payments, and period-end accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role covers general accounting tasks (GL reconciliation, fixed assets, monthly and statutory reporting), supporting audits, and maintaining strong controls.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting-specific qualification.
• Experience in audit and compliance.
• Knowledge of Local Tax Laws.
• Global Logistics Industry knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Effective communication across organizational levels.
• Leadership attitude and ability to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Validate and record payments and period-end accruals; ensure accuracy in the exp.o accounting system.
• Ensure accruals match and resolve differences promptly; check cost provisions.
• Escalate unresolved issues affecting accounts payable closing processes.
• Perform general accounting tasks: GL reconciliation, fixed assets, monthly and statutory reporting.
• Assist in audits (BIR, year-end, CHQ) and audit requirements.
• Promote and adhere to company culture and internal controls.
• Collaborate with regional counterparts and cross-functional teams.
