Job summary

Maya in Metro Manila seeks a Senior Anti-Fraud Data Scientist to lead the creation and deployment of fraud-detection models. You will design end-to-end ML systems, leverage OCR and NLP for document understanding, and supervise identity verification workflows to reduce manual reviews while maintaining accuracy.

You will mentor junior ICs, drive fraud-prevention innovation, and collaborate across teams to protect customers and defend financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, CS, Statistics or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R.
• Expertise in ML algorithms (e.g., trees, boosting, neural nets).
• Experience with data mining and data cleaning techniques.
• Knowledge of fraud detection methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Having at least 6 years of relevant experience
• Research and development experience is a plus
• Experience in identity verification, KYC, or digital onboarding is a plus.
