Job summary

Maya is seeking a senior AI leader to advance applied research and scalable ML/optimization solutions across its platform in the Philippines. You will steer research roadmaps, collaborate with product and engineering, and mentor a high-performing data science team.

You will balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic leadership, publish/contribute to the field, and drive AI innovations across lending, fraud, and operations using cutting-edge techniques.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI Research, or related field.
• Experience leading and managing high-performing Data Science teams.
• Proven track record of delivering impactful AI or Data Science solutions in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead applied AI research and develop machine learning, optimization, and data-driven solutions across Maya's AI initiatives.
• Translate complex business problems into production-ready AI and optimization solutions.
• Design, prototype, validate, and deploy scalable models delivering measurable business impact.
• Drive adoption of emerging AI technologies including Causal AI and Neuro-symbolic AI.
