Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure accurate financial reporting in alignment with GAAP. You will manage month-end close, coordinate audits, and help develop accounting policies.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective leadership to drive process improvements and compliance within the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and staff.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data for accuracy.
