Dempsey Resource Management Inc. in the Philippines seeks a seasoned senior accounting leader to supervise the accounting team and ensure precise financial reporting. You will guide junior staff, review outputs, and drive improvements in controls and processes to meet tight deadlines.

You will oversee general ledger management, tax compliance, budgeting, and coordination with auditors and internal stakeholders to uphold regulatory standards and protect organizational integrity.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting/financial reporting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in manufacturing, retail, or services is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of PFRS and tax regulations.
• Proficient in SAP, QuickBooks, and Excel.
• Solid knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures.
• Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with internal teams and external auditors/tax authorities.
• Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies/regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and guide junior accountants, accounting assistants, and other team members.
• Allocate tasks, review work, and provide mentorship and support.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to enhance team efficiency.
• Ensure preparation of accurate financial statements (BS, P&L, cash flow).
• Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Ensure reports comply with PFRS.
• Oversee maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Resolve discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
• Ensure tax law compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits with documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Assist in annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze variances and report to senior management.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Improve accounting procedures for efficiency/accuracy.
• Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, IT, WHT).
• Ensure timely tax filings to avoid penalties.
• Oversee accounting software use (SAP, QuickBooks) and maintenance.
• Recommend system improvements to enhance efficiency.
