Qualifications

• ERP experience, preferably SAP B1, with advanced Excel.

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager

The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting operations which include financial/general/tax accounting including reporting of the company. This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial information.

The position oversees the daily accounting operations, month-end closing, audits, internal controls, and ERP-related financial processes. It also provides strategic financial insights to support business decision-making and operational performance. This role supervises the accounting team across multiple branches (e.g., Manila, Cebu, Davao, Clark) and works closely with all departments, and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Review Consolidated financial reports including variance analysis
• Ensure proper revenue and cost recognition aligned with logistics industry standards.
• Provide analytical insights.

2. Month-End & Year-End Closing

• Manage month-end closing calendar.
• Review journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of freight revenue, pass-through charges and operational costs.

3. Accounting Operations Oversight

• Supervise AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, and Branch Accounting.
• Ensure accurate vendor cost capture (trucking, brokerage, airline/sea freight, warehousing).
• Implement best practices in logistics accounting workflows.

4. Compliance

• Ensure compliance with PFRS, BIR regulations, and company policies.
• Review ERP user access rights, approval workflows, and segregation of duties.
• Conduct periodic control assessments.
• Lead annual audit preparation and readiness.

5. Cashflow, Treasury & Working Capital

• Review cashflow forecasts.
• Monitor AP aging.
• Support treasury in payment scheduling and bank reconciliation.
• Support in optimizing working capital.

6. ERP & Systems Oversight (SAP B1 or similar)

• Ensure financial data integrity in ERP.
• Resolve system issues and improve workflows.
• Participate in system enhancements and automation.
• Align accounting processes with ERP configurations.

7. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.
• Support pricing evaluations and profitability studies.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with Operations, Sales and support functions.
• Ensure accounting alignment with operational activities.
• Provide financial support for operational initiatives.

9. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop accounting team.
• Set goals, KPIs, and conduct performance reviews.
• Identify training needs.
• Promote continuous improvement.

10. Strategic Support

• Recommend cost improvements, process efficiencies, and financial strategies.
• Participate in business expansions, system upgrades, and special projects.
• Support senior management with ad hoc analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
• At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, taxation, or audit, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), taxation, SEC, BIR, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience in managing end-to-end accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience in ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One or similar accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or related industry is an advantage.
