Job summary

Connext Global Solutions Inc is seeking a Senior Accountant 2 to lead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a US client. The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite, plus Excel proficiency.

You will mentor the accounting team across locations, support audits, and drive process improvements and SOP development to strengthen internal controls. This is a full-time position based in Davao City, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 4+ years in US-facing roles and US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite) for transaction processing, reporting and navigation; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review financial results for accuracy and completeness.
• Support credit card and accounts payable processes.
• Assist with annual audits and respond to audit requests.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.
• Support system implementations and accounting process improvements.
• Develop and update accounting SOPs and policies.
• Provide guidance to accounting team across locations.
• Identify issues and implement solutions to improve internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align processes with business needs.

The Senior Accountant 2 is responsible in leading month-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Performs month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Reviews and analyzes financial results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Supports credit card and accounts payable management processes.
• Assists with annual audits and responds to audit requests in a timely manner.
• Prepares ad hoc financial reports and analysis as needed.
• Supports system implementations and accounting process improvements across brands.
• Develops and updates accounting policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provides guidance and support to accounting team members across operating locations.
• Identifies accounting issues and implements solutions to improve efficiency and internal controls.
• Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to align accounting processes with business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least four years of experience in public accounting or industry accounting, including knowledge of US GAAP and experience working with small to mid‑sized US companies.
• Experience with full-scale ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite) for transaction processing, reporting, and system navigation, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
