Job summary

Workato is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead global close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting across US, EMEA, and APJ entities. The role emphasizes AI-assisted automation and scalable controls within a growing enterprise finance function.

You will own complex reconciliations, streamline month-end close, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. You will partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, Tax and external providers, driving process

Qualifications

• 7+ years work experience as General/Senior Accountant.
• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP (JGAAP, IGAAP).
• Experience with multiple entities (US, EMEA, APJ a plus).
• Hands-on with Oracle Netsuite.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Intercompany elimination and consolidation experience.
• Experience with Big 4 will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI-powered accounting tools or automation (Workato, UiPath) is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts for multiple entities and automate data consolidation with AI tools.
• Prepare journal entries including payroll, bank transactions, accruals, prepaids and other month-end adjustments.
• Perform monthly Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations using AI-driven matching.
• Conduct flux analysis prior to period close to identify anomalies.
• Ensure correct general ledger coding and compliance with policies.
• Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation for balances.
• Coordinate with AP, Payroll, FP&A, Tax to improve accruals and reporting through automation.
• Drive Month-End, Quarter-End, Year-End close processes and timely reporting across entities.
• Assist audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
• Support IPO readiness and global scalability initiatives.
• Integrate AI into finance operations for scalable controls.
• Manage indirect tax compliance for international entities (VAT, GST).
