Job summary

Hire Overseas seeks a Senior Accountant to own the full accounting function for a fast-scaling premium food brand. You will manage monthly closes, GL, and financial statements, and lead deduction and chargeback recovery in a cloud-native, AI-first environment.

This role requires US GAAP experience, 5+ years of full-cycle accounting, and comfort building dashboards in Xero and Airtable. Remote work with US business hours is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience including monthly close and financial statements.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge for US-based companies.
• CPG/FMCG or consumer goods background preferred.
• Cloud-native mindset, ability to build dashboards and automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close with a tight schedule.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany entries.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, audit support, and tax prep coordination.
• Oversee deductions and chargebacks with distributors and retailers to recover cash.
