Job summary

SINGAUTO PTE LTD is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the full set of accounts through to financial statements and to lead month-end and year-end closings. The role requires close collaboration with auditors, tax agents, and the company secretary, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Degree in Accounting or Diploma in Finance with professional certification preferred (ACCA/CPA).
• Minimum 4–6 years of full-set accounting experience including AP/GL/AR.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and audit exposure.
• Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite or similar ERP and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets) through trial balance and financial statements.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing including accruals, prepayments and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (SFRS, US GAAP) and policies.
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.

About the role

Senior Accountant role responsible for managing the full set of accounts through to financial statements, leading month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role encompasses accounts payable management, audit coordination, and cross-functional financial support.

Key responsibilities

• Own full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets) through to trial balance and financial statements

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

• Lead month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and journal entries

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., SFRS, US GAAP) and company accounting policies

• Prepare audit schedules, liaise directly with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary; resolve audit queries

• Review and strengthen internal controls and SOPs

• Manage full AP cycle: invoice processing, 3-way matching, payment runs, vendor reconciliations

• Monitor AP aging and cash flow impact; flag discrepancies or risk items

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

About you

• Degree in Accounting/Diploma in Finance, ACCA/CPA (or pursuing) preferred

• Minimum 4–6 years' relevant experience, including full set accounting (mandatory) and AP

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and hands-on audit experience

• Proficient in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel

• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and manage deadlines

• Strong communication skills for liaising with auditors, tax agents, and stakeholders

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and counterparts.
