The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely completion of accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and records.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government reporting requirements.
- Handle general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial closing activities.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries, invoices, and other financial transactions.
- Coordinate with external auditors for financial audits.
- Support management in decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Supervise junior accountants or accounting staff (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Accountancy (CPA license is an advantage).
- At least 4 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
