Job summary

Fil-American Hardware Co., Inc. in Quezon City seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, review journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports, conduct finance analysis, and ensure timely month-end and year-end closures while coordinating with management.

You will monitor compliance with government regulations, manage general ledger activities, maintain balance sheet accounts, and use accounting software with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in management systems and accounting software.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and transactions.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports.
• Process general accounting tasks, including reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and general ledger operations, preparing journal entries, preparing monthly closing and financial reports, preparing account/bank reconciliations.
• Perform finance analysis, reporting, and management tasks.
• Ensure all transaction charges are recorded and properly accounted for.
• Review financial paperwork and procedures, provide recommendations, and make necessary changes.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and year end closure of accounts, including bank reconciliation, and submit reports to the Management Team as per prescribed deadlines.
• Monitor compliance with BIR and other government regulations.
• Perform other Accounting tasks.
