DIC Philippines Inc is seeking a qualified CPA in Accountancy with 3-5 years experience to join the accounting team in the Philippines. The role requires SAP literacy and a strong grasp of tax compliance.

You will review journal vouchers, prepare tax computations and remittances, supervise receivables, lead SAP-based inventory counts, assist in budgeting and asset tracking, and support audits and year-end financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Check correctness of all journal vouchers, requests for payment, advances and liquidations with complete supporting documents
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly tax computations and remittances (EFPS) and BIR data entries (Alphalist)
  • Supervise collection and recording of trade/non-trade receivables; conduct customer credit review and enrollment of new customers
  • Lead mid- and year-end inventory counts; verify inventory adjustments in SAP
  • Assist in corporate budgeting: generate historical data and upload into budget template
  • Monitor asset tagging, transfer and disposal; assist in asset recording
  • Prepare monthly reports to Region Office (Accrual, Royalty fees, Loan, SAP-GRC, etc.)
  • Assist in quarterly BOFC and monthly MMR publications per Regional Office schedules
  • Assist in annual corporate audit; prepare audit requirements and assist in tax computations
  • Assist in preparation and timely submission of Annual Corporate Financial Statement to BIR/SEC
  • Prepare documents for renewal of bank credit facilities
  • Assist in reconciliation of tax deficiencies with BIR audits

Qualifications
  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

  • With at least, 3-5 years of work experience.

  • Computer and Accounting system (SAP) literate.

  • Preferably with Professional License, a Certified Public Accountant

Key Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities
  • 1) Checks the correctness of all accounting entries in the Journal Vouchers, requests for payment, advances and liquidations and ensures that all these transactions are with complete supporting documents in check vouchers.
  • 2) Prepares the accurate computation of monthly, quarterly and yearly taxes, and their timely remittance in EFPS and payments. Prepare and submit BIR data entries (Alphalist).
  • 3) Supervises the collection and monitor the recording and correctness of trade and non-trade receivable transactions. 3.1 Conducts Customer Credit Review and assessment. 3.2 Check the enrollment of new customers including proper and complete documentation prior to initial delivery. 3.3 Collects all creditable withholding tax certificates prior to payment of annual corporate tax.
  • 4) Takes the lead in the mid and yearly inventory count and checks the accurateness of requests to adjust the inventories in SAP.
  • 5) Assists in the preparation of corporate budget, i.e, generate historical data, upload budget data into the template, etc.
  • 6) Takes the lead in asset monitoring and recording, i.e., Asset tagging, transfer, disposal, etc.
  • 7) Prepares the monthly reports to Region Office, i.e., Accrual report, Royalty fees, Loan report, SAP-GRC, Blackline, etc.
  • 8) Assists in the preparation and publication of quarterly BOFC and monthly MMR on or before the schedules prescribed by the Regional Office.
  • 9) Assists in the annual corporate audit, i.e., prepares audit requirements, monitors the field audit by external auditors, assists in the computation of taxes, assists in the preparation of audited financial statements, etc.
  • 10) Assist in the preparation and timely submission/uploading of the Annual Corporate Financial Statement to BIR and SEC and other related activities.
  • 11) Prepares the documents for the renewal of bank credit facilities.
  • 12) Prepares the documents and assists in the reconciliation of tax deficiencies (on past years) computed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, if there's any BIR audit.
