Job Description

The Security Guard is responsible for the protection of personnel, property, and assets of the company. This includes, but is not limited to, patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access to restricted areas, and responding to emergencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Security Patrols:
  • Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of the premises, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, checking for unauthorized personnel.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
• Access Control:
  • Control access to restricted areas, such as offices, laboratories, and storage rooms.
  • Validate and record employee and visitor identification.
  • Issue and collect visitor badges and parking passes.
  • Monitor security cameras and alarm systems.
  • Respond promptly to any alarms or alerts.
  • Review recorded footage as needed for investigations.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as fires, medical emergencies, and security threats.
  • Assist in evacuations and other emergency procedures.
  • Assist law enforcement officials as needed.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Other Duties:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor/Manager.
